|amandioka||10:25 pm - Ian O'Shea character sketch - The Host - G|
Title: Ian O'Shea
Medium: Photoshop 7 and mechanic pencil.
Notes: I'm so excited about this picture, even though they're just sketches, drawing a MALE character sketch is a first for me... and not only that, I managed to draw Ian very VERY close to how he looks in my head. I don't know how many of you have read The Host, but if you haven't, I hope you give the book a chance. It actually gets better after a re-read (happened to me).
Yeah. And it's okay..you didn't know. ;)
AMANDA HOW COULD YOU?! D: Granted, I didn't like the ending either..but I've come to terms with it. And it's beautiful and suiting, in a way.
Well, this kind of ending is the reason for me to skip and read how it's going to end beforehand... If my heart already went to pieces without following the story completely, imagine what it'd be like if I got caught by surprise? I'd need weeks to recover... I actually wrote a rant to post later on my LJ about the book. You know, in my head I can see how beautiful and suiting it is, but in my heart I can't accept it. x( I hate it when books/movies end like that. So you see, it's a love/hate thing. Still, can't wait to get the book in my hands so I can read it properly... meanwhile, I'll re-read the first two.
Yeah..I know what you mean. And I don't blame you for feeling that way. It sucks..but I read libba_bray
's take on the ending and I feel much better now. I dunno..just a thought.
I can't wait to read the rant!
And good plan. Enjoy rereading the first two books. :)Edited at 2008-06-06 03:39 am (UTC)
but I read [info]libba_bray's take on the ending and I feel much better now.
I was just going to say that to you! xD
It made me feel a bit better... just a tiny little bit, though. Hehe.
LOL..great minds think alike!
Aw. I'm glad to hear that it made you feel better, even if it was only a tiny bit. :)
