|amandioka||09:51 pm - Tradicional Art|
These are my attempts at tradicional colouring. Using tradicional media is so difficult for me... oh the wonders of layers! I hope these aren't too bad, though.
Characters: Edward, Bella and Jacob.
Notes: I drew this sometime last year after reading Eclipse. Is that Bella on her wedding dress?
Characters: Gemma, Pippa, Felicity and Ann.
Fandom: A Great and Terrible Beauty
Notes: I really liked the lineart of this drawing because the characters look exactly how I picture them in my head. There not much I can do with portrait's colouring, so...
Character: Bella Swan
Notes: Should've drawn her head a bit higher... I have other copies of this drawing, maybe I'll try a different coloring style or something. This looks... normal. Nothing special. What d'ya think?
OMGGGGGGGG these are so gorgeous, Amanda. I love the first and second ones especially..
here's hoping Bella is a runaway bride in BD...the first one is haunting and the facial expressions on Bella and Edward's faces and Jacob howling afslgsgalfs are just fantastic. And the one of Bella is gorgeous..she looks so peaceful and happy. <3
And I am in love with the second one. The coloring, how the girls' facial expressions are so unique yet so them...and I'm not making any sense, am I?
Fantastic job, hon. :)

You're making a lot of sense! I'm really happy you liked the drawings! And everytime I look at the girls' drawing I think of you ;)
Hahaha I feel
flattered special. :D
I really looooove the 4 women in the center. Gorgeous picture :)
Those are all very well done. I've only read Twilight and some of the next book, but that first one is very nicely laid out. I also like how the picture of the girls shows four very different personalities in their expressions.
I'm happy I could express their personalities through their faces.
Did you like the Twilight book?
It was OK to me. I didn't much care for Bella as a character and it really annoyed me at the end of the book that the author let the one character's point of view totally limit the most action-packed sequence in the whole book. And when I got to a certain point in the next book, I just gave up--couldn't take the blackest angst anymore.
Now that you mention it, you're right. Maybe the author doesn't know how to write action sequences very well and took advantage of the POV used..?
That's certainly possible, although from what I remember there were a couple of good action-y sequences earlier in the book, like the car crash at school. I just remember comparing it to Rowling, who was capable of writing a good action sequence even when Harry wasn't in the middle of it.
SQUEE TWILIGHT ART!!! Very pretty!! I'm going to pretend that wolf is just some random one...
LOL, okay ;) And I'm glad you liked it.
I love the fanart, especially the third!!
Oh, I like the first one. Your Edward looks very much like Light from Death Note. But then, I've always thought Light looked like Edward. And I love Bella in the dress and how you included her charm bracelet.
The Great and Terrible Beauty portrait is fantastic. Pippa is just how I would imagine her, it's scarily accurate.
And Bella! She looks lovely - and her eyes are so alive.
Great job, as always!
*surprised* I didn't know you read (watched?) Death Note! :D Now that you mention it, I agree! Light looks like Edward. I know that isn't the dress Bella's supposed to marry, but I couldn't find a reference so... ^^
I'm happy you liked the pictures! :D
I watch it - I have the firs three comics waiting to be read, but haven't gotten to them. I love it, though.
Ah, yeah, I spent like hours one day looking for a 1918-style dress for a story I was writing. It was hard. I wish I could draw, though; I do have a really vivid picture of the wedding dress in my mind.
